Sealers protect and improve the appearance of surfaces and are similar in structure to coatings, but have a thinner dry film thickness. They are applied to the substrate as a transparent or coloured layer and increase resistance to mechanical wear, moisture and chemicals, whilst reducing the amount of dust generated by abrasion. Typical applications include heavily used floors in industrial and commercial areas.
