Artistic interior design with wood flooring
Large-sized, country-style oak floorboards characterise the interior during reconstruction of an exclusive residence. The interior decorator’s concept includes a seamless, standardised room design of floors, doors, and furniture fixtures. The wood for this is sourced exclusively from local Bavarian forests. The interior design as a whole is oriented around the large-size floorboards.
Exclusive wood flooring installation on the Uzin Turbolight system
Underfloor heating was recommended for installation as part of a total refurbishment in the entire living area in a villa from the 1960’s on the shore of Lake Tegernsee, and extra-large oak floorboards up to 6 m long were installed. Due to the extremely low structure height and uneven areas in the existing concrete subfloor, the screed experts from Laskowski in Feldkirchen used the new patented UZIN Turbolight system, which flexibly smoothed out incorrect floor levels from 5 to 300 mm, and withstands large loads. Only the skilled coordination of floorboard and screed experts, UZIN sales agents and architects made custom floor renovation in the exclusive country style possible.
Historic food supply office becomes modern residential building
Built around 1842 as a nursery, expanded into a military hospital in the classicist style by the German Confederation, the historic building in downtown Ulm underwent several changes of use. From 1862, it served as the Royal Württemberg Provisions Office, was used as a residential building in the 20th century, but fell into disrepair. A builder from Ulm acquired the cultural monument, renovated it in accordance with monument protection regulations, and converted it into an attractive residential and commercial building. He restored the bossage work made of plaster, all the beam ends, and the classicist window symmetry, and also restored the historic staircase. The large-scale solid herringbone parquet and oak floorboards were also professionally renovated with the flooring expertise of Uzin and Pallmann. Thanks to the lightweight and load-bearing floor construction with the UZIN Turbolight® system, the large slope of the old subfloor on the wooden beam ceiling could be flexibly compensated.
