The key to the renovation of damp substrates and when working on mineral substrates in new buildings is the efficient sealing off of residual moisture. Especially when renovating older screeds, new mineral substrates and concrete ceilings, a moisture barrier is often required to reliably protect the new floor covering from the effects of moisture. With the UZIN HydroBlock system, this can be done easily and efficiently.
The heart of the system is UZIN Hydro LevelStar, a cementitious system levelling compound which, in combination with the system primers UZIN Hydro Primer 1 and 2, achieves a water vapor barrier effect. The interaction of the products makes it possible to renovate even damp or problematic substrates and create a reliable basis for laying resilient and textilefloor coverings or parquet. The fast drying and high resistance to alkaline moisture make the system particularly efficient and reliable when renovating and waterproofing mineral substrates in new buildings.

Step by step to successful restructuring The UZIN Renoplan® system in use
A cement screed or concrete substrate (storey ceilings and concrete ceilings without moisture ingress) is a prerequisite for successful installation
Step 1: Sanding the substrate
Start by sanding the substrate to create an even and smooth surface that is optimally prepared for the subsequent steps.
Step 2: Cleaning and vacuuming the substrate
Remove dust thoroughly with the WOLFF VACUCLEAN 2 industrial vacuum cleaner. A clean surface is crucial for the best possible adhesion of primers and a reliable moisture barrier.
Step 3: Priming with UZIN Hydro Primer 1
Apply the first coat of UZIN Hydro Primer 1 evenly with the UZIN Nylon Plush Roller. Avoid the formation of puddles. This primer reduces the absorbency of the substrate and ensures strong adhesion of the subsequent coats.
Step 4: Priming with UZIN Hydro Primer 2
Repeat the process with the UZIN Hydro Primer 2 primer. Make sure that both primers dry for at least 12 hours.
Step 5: Attaching edge insulation strips
Apply the UZIN edge insulation strips to all rising components. This avoids sound bridges and ensures that the substrate is decoupled from the walls to ensure optimum damping and flexibility. Practical aid: UZIN FT 15, which serves as a spacer strip between rooms.
Step 6: Leveling with UZIN Hydro LevelStar
Level the substrate with UZIN Hydro LevelStar, a specially developed leveling compound that ensures a smooth surface. Together with UZIN Hydro Primer 1 and 2, this results in an effective residual moisture barrier system that optimally prepares the substrate for the installation of design flooring, PVC or parquet.
Once the system has been fully applied, design flooring, PVC or parquet can be laid directly and safely.

UZIN Hydro LevelStar is a cementitious system levelling compound that has been specially developed to reliably seal off residual moisture in cement screeds and concrete floors. As part of the UZIN HydroBlock system, it offers a water vapor barrier effect and provides a durable basis for the installation of design flooring, PVC or parquet.
Thanks to its high strength and rapid readiness for covering, UZIN Hydro LevelStar enables quick and easy application. It ensures a smooth and safe surface that is also suitable for areas subject to heavy traffic. The easy application and excellent flow make processing even more efficient. In combination with UZIN Hydro Primer 1 & 2, the result is a complete system structure that provides a permanent moisture barrier.

The combination of UZIN Hydro Primer 1 and 2 and UZIN Hydro LevelStar provides a reliable moisture barrier that works on cement screeds and concrete floors up to a residual moisture content of 98 % RH* (5 CM-%) and on heated cement screeds up to 85 % RH* (2.5 CM-%).
