Conditions of participation in the UZIN Adhesive Competition

1. organizer

Uzin Utz SE, Dieselstrasse 3, 89079 Ulm (hereinafter also referred to as the "Organizer") is organizing the UZIN Adhesive Competition.

 

2. eligibility to participate

2.1. Only entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB (German Civil Code) in the floor construction industry (in particular floor, tile, parquet and screed layers) who intend to use at least one UZIN adhesive product in their business and are registered in Germany, Denmark, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, France, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Serbia, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Singapore, Finland, Belgium, Croatia, Poland, Slovenia, and Sweden    (hereinafter also referred to as "Participants").

2.2 Entrepreneurs who are also employees of the Uzin Utz Group are not eligible to participate.

 

3. participation requirements

3.1 Participation is only possible online via Instagram.

3.2 Participation is free of charge and in no way dependent on the purchase of goods or the use of a service.

3.3 In order to participate, a picture or video (no Instagram story) must be posted on Instagram by June 30, 2026 (23:59, GMT+2), using the Hashtag #UZINGamechanger and mentioning the UZIN Instagram profile. 
The submitted photos or videos should provide as clear a picture as possible of how the UZIN KE 2000 S adhesive is used on the construction site. The product packaging (the bucket of UZIN KE 2000 S adhesive) must be clearly visible in every image.
Particularly suitable are images that show the application of the adhesive on the construction site, e.g., the application of the adhesive, adhesive that has already been applied, and the subsequent installation of the flooring. The photos or video should, as a whole, provide the best possible impression of the construction site, the work performed, and the application of the product.

3.4 In the event of winning, the posted pictures and videos may be used with the participant’s first and last name, the social media profile name, the name of the company and the object name and location on all media channels of Uzin Utz SE and the companies affiliated with Uzin Utz SE, online and offline, in particular on social media.

3.5 The organizer is granted the right to edit the photographs and videos by AI and other editing programs.

3.6 The participant has the unrestricted copyright and rights of use to the submitted photographs and the videos (hereinafter also referred to as "contributions"). The contributions may not contradict the legal provisions of the country of origin, legal provisions of the European Union or the personal rights of the persons depicted.

 

4. procedure

4.1 The UZIN Adhesive Competition will take place between April 13, 2026 and June 30, 2026 (23:59, GMT+2). Participation is only possible within the participation period. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

4.2 The postings will be evaluated by the organizer or a jury appointed by the organizer, based in particular on the following criteria:
– Image or video quality,
– Technical accuracy in the use of the UZIN KE 2000 S product,
– Clarity of the depiction of the construction site situation and product application,
– Creativity of the presentation.
Based on this evaluation, a decision will be made as to whether and which post will be selected as winner.  

 

5. prize for the competition

5.1 Each of the five winners will receive a t-shirt bearing the slogan 'Game changer at work', worth approximately €7.

5.2 The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be paid out in cash. Claims against the organizer for material defects and defects of title of a prize are excluded.

 

6. Notification and transfer of winnings

The participants will be contacted via Instagram direct message. If the participant does not respond and send the shipping address within 14 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited without substitution.

 

7. Rights of the organizer

7.1 Right of use
By participating in the competition, the participant grants Uzin Utz SE and the companies affiliated with Uzin Utz SE within the meaning of Section 15 AktG an irrevocable, spatially unlimited and perpetual right of use to use the submitted entries for PR work and marketing purposes. This is done exclusively in connection with the UZIN Adhesive Competition or future similar competitions - including subsequent communication in which the participant has taken part - and includes the possibility of publication, reproduction, illustration and distribution for the purpose of self-promotion and self-presentation of Uzin Utz SE. If the organizer publishes submitted photographs or contributions, the full name of the participant will always be mentioned as the author. Permission includes the use of the submitted photographs and videos for the following purposes:

• The judging of the UZIN Adhesive Competition.
• The presentation of the winners.
• The presentation of the services provided by the organizer in connection with the competition.
• Publication on all media channels of Uzin Utz SE and the companies affiliated with Uzin Utz SE - online and offline - for example websites, print, newsletters and in social networks.
• Inclusion in publications, including publications by third parties in press reports

Any further commercial use requires the separate consent of the participant.
Publication within the scope of the publication conditions is free of charge. 

7.2 The organizer reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude participants from the competition and to deny them any prize if there are justified reasons. These may be the following reasons in particular:

• Violations of these conditions of participation,
• Unfair trading practices,
• Manipulation aimed at improving the chance of winning or comparable advantages,
• False or misleading statements by the participant before, during and after the competition (e.g. in connection with registration as a participant, during the submission of photographs and in statements following the competition).

7.3 The organizer reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude submitted photographs and videos from the competition and to delete them if there are justified reasons. This may include the following cases in particular:

• Submissions that grossly deviate from the thematic specifications.
• Submissions that are distorted with frames, watermarks or vignettes.
• Submissions that violate the law, glorify violence, contain pornography, racism or other offensive content, are contrary to public decency or are intended to manipulate the competition.

 

8. Liability of the participants

8.1 The participant must own the unrestricted copyright and rights of use and the entries may not contradict the legal provisions of the country of origin, legal provisions of the European Union or the personal rights of persons depicted.

8.2 By participating, the participant confirms that he/she is the author of the uploaded photographs and thus has unrestricted rights of use and may submit them in the competition. The participant further confirms that the photographs and videos uploaded by him/her are free of third-party rights; in particular, that all recognizable persons depicted agree to the aforementioned uses and that third-party property rights are not infringed by these uses. The participant hereby indemnifies Uzin Utz SE against any claims by third parties.

8.3 The participant warrants that the contents of the transmitted image files do not violate applicable (German) prohibition standards.

8.4 In some countries, import sales tax and/or customs duties may be levied on the prices. It is the Participant's responsibility to pay all import taxes and/or duties associated with the Prize in accordance with the laws of his/her country. In such cases, the Participant agrees to indemnify Uzin Utz SE and its affiliates or partners against any tax liability, fees, fines, penalties or interest or any other liability incurred by the Participant as a result of the products and prizes provided.

 

9. Liability of the organizer

9.1 Uzin Utz SE assumes no liability for the protection of copyright by third parties.

9.2 The organizer is generally liable for damages in accordance with the statutory provisions. In the event of a simple negligent breach of essential obligations, however, the liability of the organizer is limited to compensation for typical, foreseeable damages; in the event of a simple negligent breach of non-essential obligations, liability of the organizer is excluded. The above limitations of liability shall not apply in the event of injury to life, limb or health.

 

10. Amendments to these conditions of participation; premature termination of the competition

The organizer reserves the right to unilaterally amend these conditions of participation for good cause or to terminate the competition prematurely. This applies in particular if proper implementation cannot be guaranteed for technical or legal reasons, in the event of mass abuse of the promotion or subsequent legal inadmissibility due to a change in the legal situation.

 

11. final provisions

11.1 Legal action is excluded.

11.2 The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

11.3 As far as permissible, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes shall be Ulm.

11.4 Should individual provisions of these conditions of participation be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that comes closest to the economic intent and purpose expressed in the invalid provision. The same applies in the event of a loophole in these conditions of participation.
