The renovation of the public kindergarten in Rauenberg covered an area of 1,200 m², including corridors, a bistro, a cafeteria, group rooms, staircases, and the basement. The existing substrates presented multiple challenges: cracked and uneven tile adhesives in corridors, residual PVC adhesive in group rooms, and height differences in staircases.
Since the building was an old facility, the goal was to create a safe, even, and durable substrate suitable for continuous floor installation throughout the entire kindergarten. The project needed to be completed by August 30, 2025, ahead of the scheduled reopening in early September.
The final surface covering chosen was vinyl flooring by Joka, ensuring both durability and a child-friendly environment.
The renovation required overcoming severely cracked and uneven substrates in the corridors, residual PVC adhesive in the group rooms, and height differences in the staircases, which were successfully leveled and reinforced using UZIN primers, reinforcing systems, and the pumpable FusionTec levelling compounds UZIN NC 560 and UZIN NC 567.

The combination of UZIN NC 560 and UZIN NC 567 was key to the success of this project. Both FusionTec products ensured fast, reliable, and perfectly level substrates across a wide range of conditions — from heavily cracked corridors to complex staircases. Their pumpable application with the Inotec PICCO system allowed for efficient large-scale installation, guaranteeing that the strict timeline could be met without compromising on quality.
