Renovation of a former customer centre in Hamburg Comprehensive renovation with UZIN products

The former customer centre of a large energy supplier in Hamburg underwent extensive renovation and redesign of the 480 m² space to bring it up to a refined shell condition and improve its rentability. Products from UZIN were selected, including the UZIN FusionTec  levelling compound NC 550, for the renovation of the large-format tiles, carpet and linoleum floors. Thanks to the excellent cooperation with the main contractor and careful planning, the project ran smoothly and was completed to the customer's complete satisfaction.

The challenge lay in particular in the mixed substrates, which included mastic asphalt, stone wool, cement screed and cavity floors. Old cable ducts, solid steel components and sealed edge expansion joints posed additional challenges for the renovation. To overcome these difficulties, the old coverings, tiles and unstable layers of old fillers were removed to a depth of up to 20 mm.

After milling to remove the old tile adhesive, the old cable ducts and screed defects were filled with a light levelling compound. The primer was applied with a 2-component epoxy resin primer and then sanded. To create a high-quality and durable surface, the  UZIN renovation fleece RR 201 was applied with the UZIN FusionTec levelling compound NC 550 in a layer thickness of 5-10 mm.
