Seamless Renovation of Underfloor Heating Channels in a Residential Building
The renovation of a 1995-built residential property in Sassenberg posed unique challenges. The goal was to retrofit underfloor heating (UFH) into the existing screed while maintaining the original structure. The project spanned 190 square meters, requiring precise planning and execution to preserve the integrity of the old screed while ensuring the floor was ready for tiling. Using INNOTECH’s milling system, channels were carefully created for the heating pipes without compromising the screed.

Solution
To address these requirements, the following steps were taken:
- The existing screed was assessed and approved for milling.
- Underfloor heating pipes were embedded within precisely milled channels.
- The surface was primed using UZIN PE 360 to ensure optimal adhesion.
- The channels were sealed with UZIN NC 567, a thin-layer screed, ensuring a smooth, durable finish.
The use of UZIN NC 567 in combination with UZIN PE 360 ensured an efficient and seamless solution, allowing us to meet the project’s demands for speed, durability, and minimal disruption.
